Recorded at a crossroad in Bill's life in 1995 in a deserted hall late at night, the music sounds as the title suggests.
All improvised apart from a hymn, an original piece and a standard, this music was composed spontaneously.
The piano had seen better days, the recording equipment consisted of just 2 microphones and an adat machine supplied by friend, Graham Field, this performance is graceful, painful, heart-felt and filled with anguish.
